This is a bet on two dogs to finish first and second in a particular order.
This is a variation of a straight forecast. You pick two greyhounds to finish first or second, betting on them to finish in any order. However, since this involves an extra bet, your stake will be double that of a straight forecast.
With this type of bet, you can pick three dogs to finish first, second and third in the correct order.
You make three selections of greyhounds to finish first, second and third, but they can do so in any order. With a combination tricast bet, you’re effectively making six bets.
An ante-post bet is a bet that’s placed before the dogs are confirmed for a specific race. If you place an ante-post bet on the Greyhound Derby and your dog doesn’t run, you’ll lose your stake. But this is offset by the fact that the rewards are often greater.
