How to Play 3 Card Brag
The 3 Card Brag game combines 2 types of games in 1: a 'beat the Dealer' style game, where players get 1 hand and need to beat the Dealer's hand to win, and a 'Pair bonus' game where only players' hands are used and players win different amounts depending on the value of their hand. Players can play either 1 or both of these games and can stake different amounts on each.
3 Card Brag is played with a single 52-card deck that is shuffled at the beginning of each new game.
TO PLAY THE GAME
- Click on a chip to select its value.
- Click the ANTE field or the PAIR BONUS circle on the table to place your bet. Every click increases your bet by the chip value. Click CLEAR BETS to remove all chips from the table and start over.
- Click on DOUBLE to double the chip value already bet. For example, if you have bet 10 chips and click the DOUBLE button, your bet will become 20 chips. If you click DOUBLE again your bet will become 40, and so on.
- Click the DEAL button. 6 cards will be dealt altogether 1 by 1 and in turns to you and to the Dealer. Your cards will be facing up, while the Dealer's will be facing down.
- Clicking the Menu button on the right upper side of the screen opens the Settings panel. Clicking the 'X' closes the panel.
- You can switch the 'Disable ambient sound' on or off.
BUTTONS
DEAL – Deal the cards.
DOUBLE - Double the latest bet placed by you.
CLEAR BETS - Remove all bets from the table .
PLAY - Double your bet and reveal the Dealer's hand.
FOLD - Collect the cards from the current hand; your bets will be lost.
REBET - Repeat your last bet(s).
REBET & DEAL - Repeat your last bet(s) and deal the cards.

- Wins are calculated according to the Limits which can be accessed via the Menu.
ANTE GAME
If you have chosen to bet on Ante, click the Play field on the table, or the Play circle on its end, so that the Dealer's cards will be displayed. Please note that activating the Play function will raise your stake by putting an equal bet on Play, meaning that your bet will be doubled.
Upon revealing the Dealer's cards, the amount that is won is decided depending on whether you or the Dealer has the highest hand. The winning hand is the highest ranked poker hand with the lowest rank being a high card and the next ranked hand being a pair. After that, rank increases through Flush, Run, Running Flush and then Prial (3-of-a-kind). You can also refer to the Limits section on the table for more information on hand order.
The Dealer will only play if it has a Queen or higher card on its hand. If the Dealer does not qualify, the bet placed on Ante will be paid out to you as a 1 to 1 win, and the Play stake will be also returned to you (Push). If you beat the Dealer, both your Ante and Play bets will be paid as a 1 to 1 win. If the Dealer's hand is higher, you lose both your Ante and Play stakes.
If you have a Run, Prial (3-of-a-kind) or Running Flush, then the winnings are larger. These are referred to as the Ante Bonus awards and are won regardless of the Dealer's cards as long as you play and do not choose to fold.
If you click on the Fold field on the table, all bets will be lost and the dealt cards will be collected.
PAIR BONUS GAME
If you have chosen to bet on Pair Bonus and then clicked Deal, the Dealer's cards will be automatically displayed, but will not be relevant to the pair bonus you might have won. However, a prize will not be shown, nor added to your balance, unless the Dealer's cards are revealed. The higher the bet you placed on a hand, the higher your potential win.
Note:
- If you bet on both games (Ante and Pair Bonus) and then fold your Ante bet, without doubling the stake by selecting Play, then the Pair Bonus bet is also folded even though you may have won on it.
- If you bet on Pair Bonus without betting on Ante, you cannot Fold, nor can you double the stake by selecting Play. The Dealer’s cards will still be revealed in this case, so that you know what you could have won if you had also chosen to bet on Ante & Play.
Note on disconnections: if you are disconnected from the Internet in the middle of the game, log in again into the casino. You will be automatically directed back to the game and you can continue the game from the point where it was broken. If you re-open the game without re-logging into the casino, the game will start from the very beginning. In both cases, your previous wins will be paid.
To check the results of your old games or find additional details about recent games, click the History button, available in the Menu. Use your regular username and password to log in and check the outcome of previous rounds of both desktop and mobile versions of the game.
Note on malfunctions: a malfunction voids all pays and plays.
The theoretical percentage return to player (RTP) in case of optimal players strategy is 98.00% for the Ante and Play bet.
The theoretical percentage return to player (RTP) is 97.86% for the Pair Bonus game.
